Elaine Pett, School Business Manager and Great Coates Primary's Eco Club Co-ordinator, said: "Our school is recognised as being an Eco-school, which means that we are constantly looking at our environmental performance.
"As well as implementing measures to save energy, we also make concerted efforts to teach the children the importance of keeping the local environment tidy.
"So when the Campaign to Protect Rural England got in touch and offered us the litter-picking equipment - we were delighted to have them visit us.
"The children have really enjoyed the last couple of days and have been really enthusiastic about the litter picks."
