Youth blossoming
UNBEATEN Grimsby Town CC under-15s have marked their notable improvement with a nine-wicket County Cup victory against local rivals Cleethorpes.
After restricting the visitors to just 80 at Augusta Street with some economical bowling, Bailey Mawer (26no) and powerful wicketkeeper Sam Baker (40no) saw Grimsby home.
Having barely won a game during the 2011 season, the Town youngsters have turned around their fortunes with hard work and commitment.
Alongside overseas player Johannes Diseko, coaches Steve and Richard Antcliffe have been holding additional sessions for the players, which have been well-attended.
