The story of A Christmas Carol introduces the miserly character Scrooge, who has wasted his life worrying about business and profit.
Scrooge is visited by his dead associate Marley who warns him to mend his ways.
Ghosts of Past, Present and Future accompany us along this hilarious story.
And we are treated to Dickens’ larger-than-life characters, along with uplifting and heartwarming moments – it is a show with big bright chorus numbers and touching solos – Grimsby theatre goers are in for a treat.
Stuart Owen has taken on the challenging role of Scrooge, he said: “With a couple of weeks to go I am really excited.
“We have had an interesting time in rehearsal and, with the help of new director Andy Evans, I feel we have injected a new energy into the process. I am now looking forward to showing the audience all we have done.”
One beautiful voice destined to win the hearts of the Central Hall audience is that of nine-year-old Oliver Hill who brings life to the character Tiny Tim, the youngest member of the destitute Cratchit family.
Oliver attends Keelby Primary school where he sings in the choir.
He has previously performed as the innkeeper in the school nativity and has had some chorus roles too.
The play A Christmas Carol focuses our hearts on what is truly important at Christmas – charity, laughter and appreciating our family and friends and those around us.
Embrace the yuletide season, come along and join Silhouettes Musical Theatre for this spirited, joyous festive show and raise a glass to Christmas cheer!
