Five arrested following incidents in Grimsby town centre on Saturday night
POLICE in Grimsby have made five arrests following a number of incidents which took place in Grimsby town centre on Saturday night.
They were:
10pm: 20-year-old man assaulted by a group of males whilst sitting on a bench with a friend near McDonalds.
10.55pm: Group of males approached a blue Renault Clio in Town Hall Street and smashed the windscreen. A woman was in the car at the time.

11.10pm: Damage to a vehicle and possibly another assault outside The Barge on Riverhead. Police are uncertain as to what might have happened and have appealed for information.
Police arrested five males – one aged 15, one 16, two aged 17 and one aged 26.
They were all taken into custody at Grimsby Police Station and have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Investigating Officer Alan Rutter, of Humberside Police, said: “We are still trying to establish if each of the incidents are connected and, as with most Saturday nights, the town centre was busy, so I believe there may be a number of people who will have seen what happened.”
