THE following people have been sentenced by Grimsby magistrates

Antony Farrell, 32, of Cambridge Street, Cleethorpes, admitted assaulting Christina Williams, by beating her on October 17, 2012. He was given an 18-month community order and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Sean Roche, 40, of Sidney Street, Cleethorpes, admitted possessing a kitchen knife in Sidney Street on December 30, 2012. He was committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Lee Smith, 36, of Park Street, Grimsby, together with Karl Smith, admitted stealing four boxes of Arial Liquid tabs, valued at £14.40, belonging to Wilkinson’s Store on May 14, 2012, failing to surrender to custody at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates’ Court on September 12, 2012 and stealing four cans of Stella lager, valued at £5.89, belonging to Sainsbury’s on May 2, 2012. He was given a 12-month community order to have treatment for drug dependency for six months and ordered to pay £85 costs.

Keilly Steel, 37, of Harrington Street, Cleethorpes, admitted failing to comply with a community order imposed by Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on November 30, 2012. The community order was changed to include a five-day compliance specified activity.

David Broderick, 25, of Fairmont Road, Grimsby, admitted being in charge of a vehicle on Grant Street on February 2, 2013 after consuming alcohol. A breath test revealed he had 80mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. His licence was endorsed with 10 penalty points, he was fined £150 and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Robert McDonald, 20, of Kenmar Road, Laceby, Grimsby, admitted being drunk and disorderly on the Laceby Bypass on January 30, 2012 while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge imposed by Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates’ Court on April 23, 2012. He was fined £60 and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.

Shaun Wilks, 45, of Harrington Street, Cleethorpes, admitted being in possession of 6.248g of crack cocaine, a controlled class A drug on June 19, 29012. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and the drugs were forfeited and destroyed.

Malcolm Furness, 54, of Macaulay Street, Grimsby, admitted stealing two Lynx deodorants and shower gels, valued at £6.86, belonging to B&M on February 16, 2012. He was given a community order to have treatment for drug dependency at Addaction, Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby, for six months.

Mark Johnson, 31, of Coventry Avenue, Grimsby, was found guilty in his absence of driving without insurance on Cabourne Road on October 19, 2012. He was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £100 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
