A FORMER England international footballer is heading to Humberston for the inaugural fundraising sportsman's dinner of a Grimsby pub.

Neil 'Razor' Ruddock will be the guest speaker for the event which is being organised by the Tap and Spile pub, and will be held at the Beachcomber, North Sea Lane.

Money raised from the evening will raise valuable money for the Tap and Spile's football clubs, as well as a donation to Brain Tumour UK.

The event will take place on Thursday, July 22, and will also feature comedian Jamie Sutherland.

Simon North, manager of Tap and Spile FC is excited about the event.

He said: "This should be a cracking evening for any football fan.

"Neil Ruddock has kindly accepted our invitation and we are looking forward to welcoming him to the town."

Tickets are available at £250 for a table of 10 but there are some tickets available for smaller groups at £25 each.

There are also some sponsorship deals available which allow you to meet and greet the acts in a VIP area before the evening starts, as well as advertising and a framed picture of you with Neil Ruddock.
