“We should be careful about being carried away by 'leaks' and one person's take on things. It could be as misleading as THE GREAT COAL DUST DEBATE on Immingham's windowsills where one person created many names to debate with himself. In short........ PIFFLE PEDALLING and TROLL MANIA.

    READY AND COUNTING......”

“Why are you always so pro-establishment elite?

No .. on seconds thoughts, I don't think you're either, you're just contrary for the sake of being contrary. You'd argue black was white if the majority said it was black.

It's the attention you crave, isn't it?
    Are you lonely?”

“This goes back to the article about Huhne and the GT asking opinions about whether he was a danger to society. Well in answer to that question I expressed that in my opinion his biggest crime wasn't that for which he was convicted but much more deserving would be his part played in devising green policies while fulfilling the role as government minister for energy.

He negligently allowed private energy companies to rob consumers with their casino style pricing policies with hundreds of bamboozling tariffs, and in the name of saving the planet with his environmentally friendly policies, forced customers to pay double for their gas and electricity.”

“The thread refers to a typically myopic bit of Daily Mail sensationalism and the best two responses to the article from its readers are as follows:

    Best:

Why is the Arctic melting, and the Alaskan, South American, New Zealand, The Alps, and the Himalayan glaciers all disappearing?

    Second Best:

DM this is awful science. Your graph shows a slowdown in cooling over the space of a few years. As you can see in your own graph there have been falls and slowdowns in the past. The period of time you're looking at is just too small to suggest any kind of trend. The FACT is that the earth's temperature rose 0.73 C 1906 to 2005. That rise is unprecedented in the history of the planet and CANNOT be explained by natural fluctuations. The evidence STILL points to man made causes.

The net should come with a government health warning to protect the gullible:

"AN OVER RELIANCE ON GOOGLING CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH”

“That graph still shows the average temperature is going up though.

The problem that I have is that the policies of successive governments in the UK have pushed the price of energy up for the population. Yet the fastest developing countries, China, India, and Brazil for instance, and those in Africa which are pushing for their own industrial revolutions, are still making energy (or intend to) which is pumping millions of tons of co2 into the atmosphere.

It's all well and good having a policy of low carbon emissions, but doesn't it need to get some sort of global agreement.

Also it's very difficult for us to take the moral high ground, and insist that all countries adopt our policies. It's a bit like saying "we've had our industrial revolution and it may have have caused an ecological disaster, so we'd like you to postpone or cancel yours".

The wind generation fiasco has shown how we've been basically giving money away. That was totally mismanaged, and the side effect has been to put money in the pockets of some already rich entrepreneurs.”

“CO2 Is an innocuous gas. No Matter how much is generates by burning fossil fuels It is a very small proportion of the atmosphere. It it's molecular mass is 3 times that of air. It therefore tends to stay at ground level where if is readily absorbed by flora.which uses it to grow,Anthropogenic Global Warming is a myth.
Arctic ice is now growing. It has always been cyclic.
The weather office says there has been no warming in 16 years. We have been hoaxed. It is time to tell the alarmists to go to hell.”

“Hey Nukdragga The Himalayan glaciers are growing. The IPCC said they were shrinking , but had to retract that statement. The Arctic ice e fluctuates. Nobody is realy sure why. Right now it is growing again. The Polar Bears are thriving. It is not happening.”
