“Having fun trying to trace family members in Grimsby .....I am looking for decendents of ISAAC FORMAN AND MARGUERITE MARIA LOUISA DEBERGUE......VERA AND LESLIE WERE THEIR CHILDREN born in th 1920s ............isaac remarried in York and they had a son Derek in 1937.....he was my dad. ISAAC died in 1938 and Derek was adopted by Frank and Florence Fisher ..and it is Isaac and Marguerites family i would be interested to discover if possible.
If your surname is Forman and you have or had relative with the name Vera or Leslie please get in touch. My dad died 2010 thinking he was an only child,he never knew his dad had been married before.Derek had 8 childrenand over 30 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren.
It would be interesting to find out where we came from really.Looking forward to being attached to Grimsby....07746538217-”
I'm not related in anyway, i love doing family history, and i've no idea how much you already know but Marguerite's full name was Gabrielle Marguerite Maria Louisa Debergue. Isaac was born 1893 in Swallow. In 1922-23 Isaac was living at 4 Frederick Street, Grimsby, occupation platelayer. It looks like Vera married Clifford J Boston in 1941 in Plymouth. It also looks like they may never had had children. Clifford is down as a postman in Totnes, Devon in 1954. There are several marriages for a Leslie A Forman so difficult to know which, if any, is his. Isaac's father was John b.1862 Welton-Le-Wold, his John b.1820 Manby and his father being William born around 1800 possibly Welton again. Vera and Clifford were still living and in Totnes in 2002 and possibly may still be alive. There is a Leslie Forman mentioned in Naval Medal and Awards Rolls for action during WW2 but again if this is the same as the one you're looking for i don't know. Hope some of this is new and helps.”
