    “LOL Car Parking a problem?!?

Sorry ploski, I agree with your post it could make a good loaction.....however given the angry response to the sugestion of considering parking when building new schools, I don't think you will be on a winner here as driving and public transport is only for fat lazy people.

I'm guessing they would say "if you cant walk you can't have a library either"?”

“Then I think the council should consider that the majority of Library customers are the young or the old who often find carrying a load of books a long distance is off putting. Also the occupancy of the rooms for hire would benefit by the car park.”

“Alas the car park is not big enough. Try going on a Saturday when the car park is full with cars of people attending swimming lessons, going to the gym and also using the playing fields behind.

The car park is not anywhere near sufficient to cope with the extra load.”

“A few metres? It would need to double in length!

Plus having a library wouldn't be much cop, the books would get wet.”

“Banned 3, do you know anything about lengths of existing and the difference??????

I Think not, 50m v 50yards, do a bit of research, maybe not official Olympic size in depth etc, but length to have National and International competitions.

Books are in decline now anyway, unfortunetly once they are in Data form they are available on any computer worldwide. So technically and daft the books wont get wet, they aren't needed as in recent advancement of tech.”

“Well Scartho Baths is 25 metres in length (or at least it was when my lads did their swimming badges, one lenghth earning them the 25m badge), and an Olympic pool is 50 metres. So in my book that makes it double, or am I missing something?”

“I still like to read books. they are part of our heritage. The Library means more than that. I cannot afford to buy on KIndle and etc. whenever i want to read.I wasn't aware that any plans had been suggested.for housing or anything else. Housing could go onto the Bird eye site more appropriate for the type of housing needed.”
