“It's badly laid out and very rarely fully fuctional. Trying to avoid multiple posts and leaving the site can be a nightmare.”

“If it was possible I would insist they bring back Pete Moore (god bless him) as he would never have allowed this drivel to happen
I find myself moving to the Dailymail site instead (god forbid) as it is far easier to read and move around

Shame on you GET 'so called' marketing team”

“Try using this site with mobile broadband.....

You pay twice for the adverts....firstly with the annoyance factor and secondly with the data they use up.”

“If you check other local paper sites around the uk, they all use this rubbish website in the same format, videos should not start untill clicked on but this rubbish just starts up everytime you go on the sport pages, my 5 year old son could of made a better site.”

“I agree with those who say that the site is poorly laid out. Who was paid to do it anyway? If I had my way I would have considered sending them out into the streets and get them to ask readers what they wanted before sailing off in this abysmal ship of disasters .”

“I could up with the site if it actually included some proper news now and again, instead of the constant stream of adolescent, dumbed-down, irrelevant and patronising tosh that's churned out day after day after day after day.

I'm not imagining it when I say it used to be a damn fine local paper, am I?
I'm sure it was. Though I might be wrong.”

“When this 'new' format was first used, now many months ago, there was a 'storm of protests' but the GT and other papers of Northcliffe have done NOTHING about it, except to IGNORE all calls to revert to the 'old' style.

Try writing to Mark Page, I believe he's the MD of Northcliffe, I have his e-mail address if anyone wants it, and if sufficient numbers of readers (that is of those that is left) write to him, maybe, just maybe he will take notice. I did write to him at the time, but I think I was a lone voice, although there was plenty of adverse comments on this forum.”

“It'll do no good, jack_knife. If NM ignored the very public 'storm of protest', why should it take any notice of a few private emails it can simply dismiss as coming from the 'usual suspects'?

I don't know why everything has to be fiddled with these days. Fiddle, fiddle, fiddle, fiddle!
There's much to be said for the old axiom .. if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!”

    “Arthur, (are you Allun?)

The problem was, that the protests were made on this forum, rather than at Northcliffe and Mark Page in particular.

I think that is sufficient numbers of readers wrote to Mark, both from here and all of the other Thisis sites, something might (just might) be done.

I agree with you, "if it ain't etc..."”

“I actually think it's okay. Compare it to the Birmingham or Leeds (or York) sites and you'll be smiling.”
