IN the last five years, we have pictured, named and shamed almsot 200 drink-drivers on the front page of the Grimsby Telegraph.
The Christmas drink-drive campaign is now underway - and you have been warned.
Again, we are urging you not to get behind the wheel after a drink.
Anyone caught for a drink-driving offence between December 1 and January 3 will be named and shamed in the Grimsby Telegraph and online here.

We also encourage everyone to phone the police if they suspect someone is a drink-driver or drug-driver. Call the numbers here.
STEVEN DOBSON

Steven Dobson, 42, of Gloucester Avenue, Grimsby, admitted drink-driving on December 21. Dobson was stopped as he drove a car in Chelmsford Avenue, Grimsby. A breath test revealed he had 168mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. The case was adjourned until March 30 and Dobson, a self-employed bricklayer, was allowed unconditional bail. An interim driving ban was imposed until the next hearing.
CHIAN LING

Chian Ling, 34, of Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, admitted drink-driving on January 1. Police spotted the car rolling down Isaac’s Hill, Cleethorpes, in the early hours of New Year’s Day. Ling, had earlier been seen driving on the wrong side of the road and without lights on. A blood test could not be taken for six hours but it still revealed he had 131mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80mg. He was fined £400, banned from driving for 16 months and must pay £70 costs and a Government-imposed £15 victims' surcharge.
IAN JORDISON

Ian Jordison, 49, of Durban Road, Grimsby, admitted drink-driving on January 2. He was involved in a two-vehicle accident on Durban Road at about 5.15pm. A breath test revealed he had 95mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Jordison was given 100 hours’ unpaid work, banned from driving for two years and must pay £85 costs.
LEE CROUCHER

Lee Croucher, 24, of Cornflower Close, Healing, admitted drink-driving and failing to stop after an accident on December 24. Croucher drove the wrong way down dual carriageway in Great Coates Road, Grimsby. He crashed his car near a pedestrian crossing before getting out of the vehicle and walking along the road towards Healing. A breath test revealed he had 110mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. The magistrates gave Croucher a two-year supervision order and 250 hours’ unpaid work. He was banned from driving for four years and must pass an extended re-test and pay £85 costs.
RAYMOND MANN

Raymond Mann, 48, of Elm Avenue, Grimsby, admitted drink-driving on December 29. A witness spotted him drive from Stallingborough to Healing and Great Coates before heading to Yarborough Road and Ashtree Avenue, Grimsby. A breath test revealed he had 133mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. He was given an eight-week suspended prison sentence, a one-year supervision order and was banned from driving for two-and-a-half years.
AIDAN ASQUITH

Aidan Asquith, 41, of Willingham Street, Grimsby, admitted drink-driving on December 31. Police spotted Asquith reversing excessively from Cleethorpes Road, Grimsby, at 11.40pm before turning in to Thorold Street, where he swerved and went across the road. He went the wrong way down Park Street and Harrington Street. A breath test revealed he had 106mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Asquith was given a four-month 6pm to 6am curfew, banned from driving for two years and four months and must pay £85 costs.
JOHN GRAY

John Gray, 28, of Manchester Street, Cleethorpes, admitted drink-driving, assaulting Michelle Smith and possessing cannabis on December 21. A breath test revealed he had 71mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Gray, who drives as part of his job, was given a two-year supervision order, including a domestic abuse programme. He was banned from driving for 20 months and must pay £55 costs.
THOMAS MERCER

Thomas Mercer, 21, of Thrunscoe Road, Cleethorpes, admitted drink-driving on December 19. A breath test revealed he had 73mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. His sentence will be determined at a hearing on Feburary 8, after he claimed that a driving ban would cause him exceptional hardship.
STEVEN BINNS

Steven Binns, 54, of Thorganby Road, Cleethorpes, admitted drink-driving on December 11. He reversed into another car after drinking half a bottle of vodka, and was going out to buy another when the accident happened. A breath test revealed he had 150mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Binns was fined £250, banned from driving for two years and eight months, and must pay £85 costs and a Government-imposed £15 victims’ surcharge.
PETER ROSE

Peter Rose, 44, of Lime Grove, Humberston, admitted drink-driving on November 3 and December 4. He also faces a third charge, to which he has not yet entered a plea. The first happened in his own street, the second in Tetney, and was dealt with by Lincolnshire Police. Grimsby magistrates adjourned the cases until January 5 and Rose was given an interim driving ban.
IAN TINSLEY

Ian Tinsley, 49, of Tetney Road, Humberston, admitted drink-driving on December 2. Police noticed a car pull out of the Coach House pub car park in Fieldhouse Road, Humberston, at 11pm. The car took three left-hand turns before returning to Fieldhouse Road where it was stopped. A breath test revealed Tinsley had 58mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Tinsley was fined £380, banned from driving for a year and must pay £85 costs and a Government-imposed £15 victims’ surcharge.
GORDON HOLDEN

Gordon Holden, 66, of Town Road, Tetney, admitted drink-driving on December 6. He was stopped at 5.40pm as part of routine stop-checks by police and found to have 55mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £200, must pay £85 costs and a £15 Government-imposed victims’ surcharge.
SHAUN BEESLEY

Shaun Beesley, 45, of Yarra Road, Cleethorpes admitted drink-driving on December 8. Police noticed him driving a van on Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, at 11.20pm, which had a headlight out. He was fuond to have 71mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit is 35mcg. He was banned from driving for 17 months, fined £240, and must pay £85 costs and a £15 Government-imposed victims’ surcharge.
COLWIN DIXON

Colwin Dixon, 61, of Ellesmere Rise, admitted speeding and drink-driving on December 1. He was stopped by police on Boulevard Avenue, Grimsby, at 6.10am after driving at 42mph in a 30mph zone. A breath test revealed he had 84mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. He said he had drunk only three pints the night before. Dixon was disqualified from driving for 20 months, and fined £250. For the speeding offence he was fined £100 and had his licence endorsed. He opted to take a drink-driving rehabilitation course, which if completed by January 8, will see his ban reduced to 15 months. He was also made to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
