“ Moved to the area a few years ago from London, very impressed with the school. There’s only good schools for either boys or girls down south, no mixed schools, so it’s much easier to have them happy at the same school. Both children different, one clever, one more sporty and likes music. The school does very well for both and both improving, doing much better than before. Son took Maths GCSE a year early and got an A*! Daughter plays sport all over the country and was in the fab school production last year, both happy, busy and doing well = happy mum. ”

Hull Collegiate School is an independent, co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 18. Based on the single site country house estate of Tranby Croft, on the outskirts of West Hull, Hull Collegiate School offers a first class education with outstanding teaching provision from Kindergarten to Sixth Form. Our ethos of “the best in everyone” is reflected in the diverse range of talents and skills which are nurtured in our pupils, ensuring that everyone reaches his or her full potential.
Our superb extra-curricular activities offer a huge range of opportunities, catering for a vast array of interests, which motivate our pupils to excel in sport, academia, creative arts and to develop their own personal skills.
The 2010 Independent Schools Inspectorate report summarises the school’s key strengths as:
• The reflective and encouraging culture of the school provides an environment in which pupils thrive, becoming willing, independent learners.
• The personal development of the pupils is excellent and is a significant strength of the school, meeting its aims to care for and respect pupils, and to nurture each individual.
• Pupils are willing learners, working well both independently and in groups.
• Pupils respond to the school’s high expectations of achievement, conduct and work.
• The pupils are thoughtful and considerate of others, and the nurturing of these attitudes creates a happy atmosphere where they feel comfortable and secure.
• The school has excellent arrangements for the welfare, health and safety of pupils.
• Children learn to communicate fluently, enjoy books and express their thoughts and feelings with developing confidence (Early Years Foundation Stage).

“Boy, age 4 in kindergarten, "I like playing with the toys. My best friend plays with me carefully. I like drawing, writing on the whiteboard and playing the tambourine at music time. Sometimes we have pizza for lunch. Sausage and mash is my favourite." Older daughter doing really well and made lots of lovely friends. She says ."The teachers are funny!"”
