Welcome to National Safety Training Services
Here at National Safety Training we have a fully accredited team of RTITB trainers with a wealth of experience. Our RTITB trainers can provide a wide variety of training courses for a range of lift trucks, from small lift trucks to larger pieces of Plant. As we are an Accredited Centre, National Forklift Training Services are able to successfully deliver National Vocational Qualifications (QCF) and other Nationally Recognised Qualifications. Our courses can be delivered on site at times to suit you for total convenience.

QCF Training Courses
National Safety Training Services can provide training for the following QCF courses:

•Warehouse & Storage Skills – QCF Level 2 Certificate
•Plant Operation (Construction) – QCF Level 2 Certificate

Dangerous Goods Training Courses
The Dangerous Goods Training Courses offered by National Safety Training Services operate under the strict SQA Guidelines and encompass:

•Hazardous Goods Awareness Training
•ADR Initial Course
•ADR Refresher Course

Other services provided by National Safety Training
We are also fully qualified to deliver a number of other training courses which include:

•Basic Operator Certificate (Suitable for Operators)
•Lift Truck Safety Awareness (Suitable for Managers & Supervisors)

Our training and the Law
All of the courses offered by National Safety Training Services are recognised nationally and comply with the guidelines set out by Law. It is a requirement for Managers and Supervisors to have a sound knowledge of all of the work equipment under their control. This includes the methods of using the equipment as well as any risks and precautions that are detailed in the Provision & use of Work Equipment regulations 1998 (PUWER98).

Health and safety at work is also paramount and all employers have a duty to ensure the health and safety of their employees and that members of the public are not put at risk as a result of the work that they do. Both employers and employees have duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.It is a legal requirement that health and safety risks at work are to be controlled so far as is 'reasonably practicable'. To comply with this, the cost of a control measure must be balanced in proportion to the safety gain (reasonable) and it must be physically possible to employ such a measure (practicable). Ultimately, only a court can decide whether what you did was reasonably practicable.
