Go greener for growth
energy: A new environmental scheme, which promises financial savings coupled with a simple accreditation process, has seen a surge in members.
The Investors In The Environment (iiE) scheme is new to Yorkshire and the Humber and has already acquired 16 members, with almost 200 more businesses pledging to make the leap at some point.
The scheme is managed by Yorkshire Energy Partnership.
Chief executive Hugh Cripps said: "Investors In The Environment is the fastest-growing scheme of its kind in Yorkshire – offering a new green stamp of approval, which insists actual environmental savings are made, rather than just having the right paperwork in place."
