As reported, a 23-year-old was left with serious head injuries after being attacked opposite Victoria Kebab House, in Town Hall Street, in the early hours of Wednesday, April 7.
He was involved in an altercation with four men and was knocked to the ground, banging his head.
He was taken to Grimsby’s Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital, and treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening.

Detectives want to speak to the these two men, captured on CCTV in Secrets bar, Pasture Street, just minutes before the incident.
Police believe they may be able to help with their inquiries.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We are keen to identify the two men shown in the CCTV footage within Secrets in Grimsby prior to the incident.
“One of the men was wearing a light top, the other shown wearing a stripy top.
“We are asking for these men or anyone who recognises them in the images to come forward as they may be able to help with our investigation.”
The victim may have been drinking in The Venue – which is underneath Secrets – prior to the attack, but the circumstances surrounding the assault are not clear.
Following the assault, calls were made by top town business owners for more CCTV coverage in the area, in a bid to capture any incidents in the future on film.
Shortly after the incident, Detective Sergeant Simon Hewitt said: “This was a nasty incident.
“This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and we are treating this incident very seriously.”
Any witnesses or anyone else with information is asked to contact either Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222, quoting log 63 of April 7, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
