Telegraph comment: What an inspiration to us all
ALL power to our fantastic Paralympians.
It is only right that these 2012 games are getting the publicity and attendance they deserve.
Someone on the television recently stated how the athletes we are seeing on our television screens at the moment are worthy of more praise and honour than those abled bodies performers of a few weeks ago.
While both sets of dedicated men and women should be rightly recognised, that commentator had a valid point.

To break through the barriers of disability, along with the stigma that can sometimes run alongside, and fight to achieve what they have is remarkable.
In their world, these athletes, who have a whole variety of possible limitations, are already heroes – they are admired by their peers.
But they are not widely known on a national or international level – unlike their able bodied counterparts.
And after the event, will we see the current medal winners given prime time TV, or appear on celebrity shows like we have the other heroes of London 2012?
Let's hope so – for it is their inspirational stories that should inspire both able and disabled people alike.
There is no "feeling sorry for themselves" attitudes among these people, who see their disabilities as a chance to achieve what may be a seemingly impossible dream.
So sit back, take the time to switch on Channel 4 and be inspired by the feats of achievement you will witness.
