Not keen on teaming up with neighbours
SHOULD the likes of Tetney, Holton le Clay and Keelby be part of the Grimsby or Cleethorpes constituency?
The idea was suggested last week by a number of people who believe it could prevent the need to split the historic constituency of Great Grimsby in two.
As it is, there is no immediate prospect of this happening due to the restrictive regional boundaries which prevent wards from Yorkshire and Humber being lumped with wards from the East Midlands.
Cleethorpes MP Martin Vickers described the boundary as "ludicrous" and suggested that such villages had more of a link to Grimsby than they did to Louth or Market Rasen.

But looking at the Grimsby Telegraph website it appears not everyone would be so keen on joining up with our Lincolnshire neighbours.
Take for example the comment by "john43nel", who objecting to the choice of youngster Jake Storr to turn on Grimsby's Christmas lights, asked: "What's someone from outside our borough doing switching on our lights? Holten le Clay (sic) was part of Lincolnshire last time I looked."
Words fail me.
