CLUELESS promises to be one energetic, adults-only night full of laughs ... and you are invited.

This month sees the return of local comedian Matt Sargent with a brand new comedy night crammed with laughs and manic characters.

Following numerous stand-up shows, the Caxton Theatre will host Clueless, an improvisational night where the four strong cast are well and truly clueless.

The show was premiered in May, when the audience was treated to nearly two hours of quick-fire comedy, characters and sketches

One audience member loved the concept so much he asked the troupe to perform for his charity.

This time round, Matt will be joined on stage by Dean Wright. Many will recognise Dean as the other half of Matt's Bouncers routine, which they have often performed at the theatre.

Dean goes from strength to strength with his comic ability and spontaneous improvisation skills.

As well as being joined by his stage partner, Matt is also joined by his real-life partner, Helen Slater.

She is the only female in the troupe and is becoming well-known to Caxton regulars after acting in a number of main house productions.

She has also been involved in some improvisation work with children around the area.

The final member is Richard Precious, who has acted for most of his life.

Willing audience members will contribute many of the ideas and suggestions and from these comedy sketches will be created.

Matt said: "Of course, there is a format and a theme to the show and we have rehearsed versions of the games that we play, but that is to gain a feel for the games and to become more confident working with each other, but ultimately the suggestions on the night are unknown.

"The show relies on audience input but don't worry if you don't want to shout out – there will be suggestion boxes in the bar and no one will be picked on unwillingly."

Clueless will be performed on Saturday, September 29, from 7.30pm. The show is strictly for adults only.

Tickets are only available in advance from the Caxton Theatre Ticket Office, currently based in Cleethorpes Tourist Information Centre, or by calling 01472 346251, costing £7.50. All proceeds are being donated to charity.
