OAP woken by burglar

AN 84-year-old woman was woken up by a burglar rifling through her bedside cabinet.

The incident happened in Harris Boulevard, Mablethorpe, at about 2.50am on Monday.

Lincolnshire Police said the burglar fled, taking a handbag, when the woman woke up.

A Samsung plasma television was also removed from the house, but subsequently recovered outside the property.

The suspect was seen running along Harris Boulevard and Seacroft Road.
