What you need to do now
ENTRANTS must be 17 years or over on March 30, 2009.
Entrants must live within the Grimsby Telegraph circulation area.
The role of Miss Grimsby Telegraph dictates that you will travel around the North East region, therefore a full driving licence is essential.
All entries into Miss Grimsby Telegraph must include an up-to-date photograph (must have been taken between March 30, 2008 to April 18, 2009)
All entries sent in to the Grimsby Telegraph MUST be a head and shoulder picture ONLY.
Photos deemed unsuitable will NOT be accepted, ie distorted, poor quality or unrelated to the competition.
Post your entry to Miss Grimsby Telegraph, 80 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby, N E Lincs, DN31 3EH or alternatively, bring along your entry form to Freshney Place where your picture and entry details will automatically be entered into the competition.
The picture you submit or choose at the Freshney place photography sessions will be entered into the special supplement of all entrants inside the Grimsby Telegraph on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 and will feature online at www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk.
Entries into the competition must be submitted by the entrant and NO other party (ie, friends or relatives)
Upon signing the disclaimer form and having fully read the terms and conditions the eight entrants with the highest number of in paper votes will automatically be entered into the Miss Grimsby Telegraph final, but must have agreed to the terms and conditions and signed the disclaimer form.
There will be four 'wildcard' entries who will be entered into the final, by the panel of judges consisting of Miss Grimsby Telegraph sponsors and representatives. These entries may not have received the highest number of votes, but will go through on merit.
The judges' decision is final
Closing date for all in-paper votes is Saturday, May 30, 2009. Votes will be counted and verified by Telegraph staff. Any entries after the closing date will not be counted.
By entering the competition you are agreeing for the use of your picture and information for all GSMG publicity purposes.
All 12 finalists must attend the final event on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at the Beachcomber, Humberston. Those who cannot attend will be disqualified and their place filled by the next highest received vote.
One winner will be decided by a panel of judges on July 4, 2009, which will consist of a Telegraph representative and other Miss Grimsby Telegraph sponsors and will be crowned Miss Grimsby Telegraph 2009/10
Second place winner will be the Miss Grimsby Telegraph understudy, therefore attending PR activities/events when needed.
The role of Miss Grimsby Telegraph will be demanding and unpaid, so you must be flexible and willing to work unsociable hours. The winner is agreeing to represent the Grimsby Telegraph in frequent public appearances and PR activities and events when required.

Entries into Miss England
Entrants must have had their picture taken at the professional photo sessions at Freshney Place between April 4 – 18 and you MUST opt to be entered into the Miss England competition by filling in the additional information on the entry form. Photos must be taken with a minimal amount of make up on as possible.
Due to the demanding role of the Miss England job and to perform the duties required, strict criteria has been issued by the Miss England judging panel.
Entrants must be 17 – 24 and single (ie no relationship commitments or children) and have a flexible lifestyle.
All suitable applicants for Miss England will be forwarded, and 10 girls selected to go on the Miss England site for the Grimsby area. These 10 girls would then go up for public vote which would form a third of the panel.
