Exhibition backed by Hollywood star Hurt

THE exhibition of the lifetime works one of Grimsby's most renowned artists has had high praise from Hollywood.

David Tarttelin, 80, has an exhibition at Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre at the culmination of 60 years of work.

Mr Tarttelin has had work displayed all over the world.

David Tarttelin: A Painter's Life features a Triptych of his friend and Hollywood actor John Hurt.

Three paintings of John Hurt appearing in the film version of George Orwell's 1984 is an impressive part of the exhibition which showcases the work of the Grimsby painter.
