'Goalden' girl adds touch of glamour to new Riverhead bar - view on video

A NEW nightclub has opened on Grimsby's Riverhead, marking a turn of fortune for the Top Town development.

Shooters was on target with hundreds of revellers when it opened on Friday – bringing new life to the former Chicago Rock Cafe, which has been empty since 2007.

And top scorer on the night was glamour "goal-den" girl and model Michelle Marsh.

Top model Michelle Marsh was at the venue to celebrate the opening of Shooters Bar.

Married to Scottish footballer Will Haining, Michelle had fans dribbling at the latest addition to the Riverhead nightclub strip.

Although an avid St Mirren fan for husband Will, she wished Grimsby Town FC the best of luck in their relegation fight.

Mother to 15-month-old daughter Maddison, she said: "From what I have seen of Grimsby, it is lovely.

"I remember coming to Cleethorpes every summer as a little girl and staying in caravans and having fantastic fun with my two older brothers and getting buried in the sand."

The celebrity model was the highlight of an opening show which featured fire-eaters and angle-grinding models.

The club is owned by Rick Weston and Dean Bunn and their respective wives, Tina and Lisa.

The 600-capacity Grimsby venue, formerly Chicago Rock Cafe, is a sister club for Shooters in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

They have invested £72,000 and created 15 jobs, in addition to taking on door supervisors and marketing staff.

Dean said: "It is a fantastic venue in a fantastic location."

Rick added: "We looked at a radius of 100 miles and Grimsby was miles ahead. We needed to be somewhere that we can bring on and make people safe so they have a good time."

The glamorous opening night marked the first in a series of celebrity nights coming up, which will include Jamie Lomas – aka Warren Fox from Hollyoaks – on Saturday and Kenzie from Big Brother and Blazin Squad on Saturday the 28th.

Sundays hosts Northern Soul music, student karaoke on Tuesdays, a singles night on Wednesdays and Thursday is band night, starting with Children Of The Revolution this week. Fridays and Saturdays are DJ nights.
