Kids sing out for festival - view on video
Pupils and teachers from 25 North East Lincolnshire schools performed together in front of an appreciative audience at the Grimsby Auditorium yesterday.
The choir sang a collection of songs entitled Earth And Sky, written and directed by Lin Marsh, the director of the Oxfordshire Youth Music Theatre.
The choir was accompanied by Leo Solomon on piano, Warren Jolly on guitars and Norman Bean on drums and there was also a performance by Creased – Strand Community School's own rock band.
The festival, in its 15th year, is organised by North East Lincolnshire Council's Music and Performing Arts Service.

Pupils take part in the festival.
Event director Chris Johnson said: "The festival has always been well supported by the schools.
"It allows children to work with pupils from different schools and make music together.
"The great thing about music is there are no boundaries – age, nationality and language are irrelevant."
Caroline Hutson, music co-ordinator at Eastfield Primary School, Immingham, said: "It was absolutely fabulous. The children have had a great time.
"They put a lot of hard work into it and I'm really proud of them."
Bethany Haynes, nine, a pupil at Wybers Wood Primary School, said: "I really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was really good. I enjoy singing because it's fun and energetic."

Pupils take part in the festival.
Springfield Primary School pupil Alex Smith, 10, said: "I enjoyed doing the actions and the style of songs was really different this year."
Ms Marsh, directing the event for the first time, said: "It was tremendous.
"The whole atmosphere was great and the children were marvellous.
"Children always remember these kind of events and they learn about expressing themselves, which is useful in life, not just for singing."
