Laughs in store for fans at new home
The club is now settling in to its new home at Mitchell's Bar, on the High Street, for the autumn season, having last month hosted Phoenix Nights actress Jo Enright and stand-up Steve Shanyaski.
Club compere Jon Reed said: "There was a fantastic buzz at the last gig.
"It was lovely to return to the area after a summer break, and see a sea of familiar faces – as well as some new ones, too.
"It's a great and relaxing way to end the weekend."
Al Pitcher, from Channel 5's The Comedy Store, has performed around the globe, including at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, the New Zealand International Comedy Festival and the world-renowned Just For Laughs festival in Montreal.
Jon said: "With motor-mouth Pitcher, each show is unique.
"He eclipses his peers with his breathtaking interactive abilities and his seamless shifting from topic to tangent, while making hysterical observations with a large dose of the surreal, drawing comparisons to Ross Noble and Eddie Izzard.
"However, unlike both of them, Pitcher is one of the best-kept secrets on the comedy scene."
Carl Donnelly is the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2007 and in the same year, he was awarded the prestigious industry award of Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards.
Jon said: "With the mind of a child, the maturity of a 14-year-old, Carl has been wooing audiences with his innocent fun and great gags, as he cements his reputation flourishes as the leader of a crop of new British talent."
Al and Carl will be joined by two support acts in an evening packed with comic delights.
They will also be appearing at the Greyhound Inn, on Upgate, Louth, on Tuesday.
