Shiny Car Wash, on the corner of Oxford Street and Park Street, Grimsby – a popular business well-used by motorists around the town – is at the centre of a police probe after they received information suggesting that stolen items were being hoarded inside the building.

The items recovered – including a large amount of electrical products – are believed to be linked to a series of burglaries across North East Lincolnshire.
Officers believe they have made a significant breakthrough in inquiries following the raid on Tuesday lunchtime, which the Grimsby Telegraph did not publish details of until today on the request of the police.
A number of houses across the area were also raided, and more items recovered.
Police have said that “a number” of people were arrested at the scene of the raid on the car wash.
Those arrested are still being questioned today in relation to handling stolen goods.
Det Insp James Fairgrieve said: “We would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to the premises or, more generally, in relation to burglaries that may have been committed.”
In recent weeks, we have reported how a number of televisions, games consoles and laptops have been stolen from properties in the area – which are all among the items most often targeted by burglars.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “Inquiries are very much ongoing at this time.”
