Three parked cars damaged in Cleethorpes hit-and-run collision
POLICE are looking to trace the driver of a car who is believed to have been responsible for damaging three other vehicles in Cleethorpes on Saturday.
The cars were damaged at around 4am when a vehicle travelling along Glebe Road hit a parked car with such force that it was shunted into another parked vehicle which, in turn, hit another car.
-

The three cars – a blue Vauxhall Astra, a grey Ford Focus and a white Fiat Punto – sustained significant damage. One of the cars was left bearing green/lime green paint which is believed to be from the bodywork of the offending vehicle.
The driver of the car which caused the damage did not stop at the scene and failed to report a collision. It is suspected the vehicle will have substantial damage to its front side and driver’s side.

“@Gry88
Thanks you, that's very informative. So on that Saturday morning Aug 18 2012, incidents were being reported and logged at close to one every minute and yet people think they have a right to complain about the performance of the police. We need a cultural shift to make people a little more fearful of transgression and wishy-washy Ken Clarke is obviously not the person to oversee that.”

“Do the police start a new log every day? If so then log number 186 at 4am on Saturday morning shows that the police must be on a hiding to nothing in clearing up crime. Even if that count had started on Monday at the beginning of the week then that's close on being 2 crimes an hour to solve. I don't think a force of Sherlock Holmes could deal with that.
Does anyone know how log numbers are generated? Don't waste valuable police time though by going through the keyboard, armchair trolls' FOI route though.
Was the driver texting, nissed, drugged up or all three? Please armchair warriors, "Gizz a clue." Would a 20 Zone sign help (that'll set 'em goin'). Thinking distance was obviously messed up…………. but by what?”
