“I aggree with the coments about Asda being cheaper and the fact that Murco is expensive. A few years ago when these garages were under the JET name, they were slightly more expensive than Shell or Morrison's. The fact that they may have been more convienient made up for the old fraction of a penny extra. Since they have traded as Murco, the price seems to have spiralled upwards. All this has happened whilst Adsa got their station operational, the end result is these Murco stations are totally uncompetative. Yet people still use them! Why?”

“The question was, "How much do you pay for your petrol ?" Well we pay around 52.8p per litre. The Government think that is way too cheap so slap an extra 60%, (highest in Europe), on top and call it "duty" and "VAT".

I call it being "had over a barrel".”

“Asda is consistently cheapest for petrol in Grimsby which is where I go.

The only garages to avoid are the MURCO garages near Market Hotel and Grimsby + Cleethorpe Road as they are constantly dearer than most other garages in Grimsby / Cleethorpes. They're always fast to pass on increases in petrol as well. I see a different price at Murco everytime I drive past..!!”
