How are our police forces performing?
THE performance of Humberside Police and Lincolnshire Police has come under scrutiny with the release of a new report assessing every force in the country.
As reported, Lincolnshire Police has been ranked among the third-worst performing forces in the country, with a force watchdog rating it as poor.
Humberside Police has been rated fair.
In today's Grimsby Telegraph, crime reporter PAUL SMITH has taken a closer look at what each report shows and spoken to police chiefs from both forces for their reaction to the report's findings.
Today we are also keen to hear about your experience of policing in our area.

“Its about time someone with some authority over the police told them how useless they are...
It seems to me that there are an awful lot of serious assaults in grimsby, leading to death considering the police spin doctors are always on here saying how little crime there is...
The police are nothing better than self serving bullies as deanos experiences show, and believe me, those experiences are not rare. I wonder if the criminal the police identified off cctv was likely to have given them a hiding if they tried arresting them. It is difficult to respect the pathetic detritus that seems to make up our illustrious police force...”

“I agree that Humberside Police are very poor, i was assaulted in January and i ended up being falsely arrested and spent 12 hours in a cell, i had my clothing removed and was given a paper suit to wear the ventalation system was blowing cold air, i had a sheet that was about 5 mm thick, i sufferd a head injury and was refused treatment because they couldnt get me a Doctor until i had been in custody for six hours, i was treated as a criminal, the toilet was that disgusting you could only use it to urinate in, i had the cuffs on way to tight that i lost the feeling in my thumb for two weeks, i ask for the cuffs to be loosend whilst in transit only to be told they are not designed to be comfy, but they stop the van in transit because my mobile phone was ringing to see if i had answerd it, ( i mean have you tried to answer a mobile phone with your hands cuffed behind your back) i was released without charge the next day after they watched the cctv evidence, the person who assaulted me is still at large even though they know who it is, i made a complaint that was dealt by Inspector Lynn and of course his findings was that they acted correctly but then again i suppose they all do p in the same pot, ive just lost all faith in Humberside Police as they are pathetic, there's no wonder that you have people taking matters into thier own hands, i bet there is more plastic Police than actual Police in Humberside or should that be N.E. Lincs Police ?”
