So with the car boot season well and truly upon us, the Telegraph thought there could be nothing better than organising an extravaganza for bargain hunters.

Avid car-booter Sandra Haigh, of Windlesham Avenue, in Scartho, will be one of the sellers.

She said: "I am going to be selling a range of good-quality things, including toys and household items.

"I was attracted to the idea of Classified Live because it is going to be so big and there will be so much on offer.

"The opening times of the car boot are also absolutely brilliant.

"I like the fact that you don't have to be there really early.

"I will have a look round at what other people have to offer, but I will be mainly selling."

Caroline Whelpton, the newspaper's Classified manager, said: "Classified Live has attracted many people that have never done a car boot before, therefore there will be an excellent variety of items on offer.

"We have more than 120 car-booters that have pre-booked their place, so this really is an exciting event for the public to attend and people to get involved in.

"The response has been brilliant with a total sell-out of pitches available, and for those car booters who have unsold items left at the end of the day, the Classified team will be on hand to take the item details and place them in the newspaper for free the following week.

"The Classified Live car boot sale will be open to the public from 10am – with strictly no viewing prior to then, to give everyone a fair opportunity to get their hands on some great bargains."
