THE Spider's Web is playing host to a returning American blues musician who is sure to get you dancing at the Blues Are Back In Town event.

Marcus Malone, along with his four-piece band, will visit the well-known music venue tomorrow.

Marcus last appeared at the pub 18 months ago to a near sell-out crowd who he held spellbound with the quality and originality of his songs.

Marcus, from Detroit, Michigan, was first signed by Al Teller of United Artists Records (now EMI Capitol).

His latest album entitled Let The Sunshine In was recorded in the UK and released in 2011.

The title song was co-written with Gene Black, Marcus' guitarist in the original Marcus' Band, and currently the guitarist for the Joe Cocker band.

Marcus has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Burnley and Colne Festivals in the UK; Harlebeke Blues Festival in Belgium; the Bospop Festival in Holland; Valdagno Blues Festival in Italy and various UK art centres and blues clubs.

Tickets are available from Dave, at The Cobblers, on Brereton Avenue, Cleethorpes, The Spider's Web, on Carr Lane, Grimsby, or by calling 01472 588022 and reserving tickets to collect on the door on the night at advance price with no booking fee.

Tickets are £9.50 in advance, £10.50 on the door, and doors open at 8pm with the band set to start at about 9pm.
