“ what a great restaurant with extremely friendly staff and more importantly the fresh contemporary italian cuisine that it offers. There is a very popular pizza deal which is two pizzas and a bottle of wine for £25, fantastic for those who enjoy great quality food at a good price amongst a very vibrant atmosphere ! ”

“Whilst visiting old friends in Cleethorpes with my partner, they invited us along to their favourite restaurant Valerie's. On arriving our first impression was "WOW" full to the brim with an extremely buzzy atmosphere, just like what we are used to in London. The menu looked fantastic and the food was even better. Will definitely be visiting again on my next trip to Cleethorpes in the summer.”

“I was lucky enough to go to Italy the other year, had a great time and obviously ate out quite a lot. BUT I never tasted pasta like they serve at Valeries'.
The meal was absolutely out of this world - I can't praise it enough. I will be going back again, very soon I hope, to sample Italian food how it should be - well done”

“Thank you for your response Valerie, a late apology is better than none at all. It would have been nice to have resolved this on the night however, i know your restaurant is good and my own mother and brother attended just a couple of days ago. My comment about your food being overpriced was an angry reaction. I hope you can appreciate that i am protective of my mother in law at the minute and just wanted the evening to go well. Perhaps we picked the wrong night , yes it was very busy - and the atmosphere was vibrant. The comment about us having the table within five minutes doesn't match your waitresses explanation, we were told the table we had booked in the front quieter part of the restaurant was occupied by a late arrival who were still eating their mains, she told us they would only be five mins which i found hard to believe. I refer to the 'makeshift' as two tables being pushed together infront of us and not even set. Looking back maybe there was slight communication issues with the waitresses due to how popular you were that evening. It may be more appropriate to return with me and my sister in law for a girls night out. I don't expect a voucher, but good food and service would be fair, then maybe i can re write my review? ”

“I visited Valerie's with my friends this weekend and as usual had a great experience. As regular customers at Valerie's we always find that the food is consistently delicious, the service is always friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is buzzing; just what you want from a local independant restaurant! The staff are attentive, always take the time out to talk to you and never leave you with an empty glass. I have to say that the new menu at Valerie's is absolutely great, there is a real variety on there and the special boards make it even harder to chose what you want to eat! I really cannot praise this restaurant enough, it's always our first choice place to go in the area. Thank you Valerie!”

“"We came across Valerie's visiting family in Cleethorpes, and decided to book for Friday night. What a fabulous find, we have been on holiday to Italy several times and love Italian food. The restaurant well exceeded our expectations, the food was authentic and the atmosphere great! The staff were extremely friendly and we will certainly be giving them another visit."
THANK YOU ”

“Thank you very much for your comments, we would like to take this opportunity to reply.
I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your experience at our restaurant. As you could see it was extremely busy when you arrived, you had requested a table at the rear of the restaurant when making your reservation; that table was made available for you within five minutes. Table 7 is most definately not a make shift table, furthermore i was not made aware that you were not happy with your table until i came to take your food order. At that point you informed me that you would not be staying as " the restaurant was to loud ". I viewed the table plan to see if i could move you to a quieter area of the restaurant, when offered a new table you declined and left. I appreciate your comment about the noise, however Valeries Italian is described by customers as a popular and vibrant restaurant. If you would like to contact myself at Valeries I would be more than happy to send you a complimentary voucher to dine with us and perhaps you would be happier to book for a quieter evening.
Kind Regards
Valerie ”

“Despite booking a reservation we arrived to blank faces and 'im sorry your table is not ready'. We were then ushered to a makeshift place which was completely unsuitable and not what we had reserved. We were surrounded by young loud women and could not even hear each other speak. After being fobbed off by the waitress we were asked to order promptly by Valerie. We expressed our dissatisfaction and Valerie's reaction was to huff and walk away with no apology. That is just rude and no way to treat customers. we drank our drinks quickly and left. Will not be returning. Shame because the food isn't bad - overpriced but tasty. Shame on you Valerie, that was no way to treat my mother in law on her first brave meal out after a bereavement!!! (and yes she knew that, i explained when i booked)”

“I've been lucky enough to sample Valerie's new autumn menu and I must say it was delicious! I also noticed that we had a 'specials' board which had fish on and that was excellent! Of course they have new opening hours now: Tuesday-Thursday: noon-3pm and 6-10pm; Friday-Saturday: noon-3pm and 5-11pm; Sunday: noon-3pm and 6-10pm, which will make it harder for me to meet up with friends there for a chat and a coffee.”

“What a lovely place! I found the staff very friendly, and although I had only popped in for a coffee as I was out walking, they were very helpful. I did look at the menu and was very impressed, the prices are very reasonable. I will make a date to go on an evening and take advantage of there offer of a pizza and a bottle of wine for two at £20.”
