A riotous romp!
CHRISTMAS at the Caxton Theatre will see a production like no other.
From the comedic mind of Caxton favourite Matt Sargent comes Shafted, a riotous romp of madcap humour, fast-paced comedy and crazy characters.

WHAT A SHOW: The cast of Shafted. Standing, from left, Helen Slater, Dean Wright, Richard Precious and Matt Sargent. Seated is Derek Hodges.
Tickets are already selling well for this year's end-of-season play from the local writer, director and comedian.
Matt's work sells out every year and has audiences rolling in the aisles; anyone who has seen his previous shows will vouch for this.

Shafted sees desperate theatrical director Jeffrey Pembleton-Ketchup call time on his doomed production of The Detective Who Stole My Heart But Kept My Knickers.
Matt, who wrote the play, continued: "His failing cast desperately attempt to pull a show together at the last minute before the critics arrive.
"There are many surprises along the way – but these will not be given away just yet!"
Derek Hodges plays the flamboyant director whose career is rapidly fading away.
The put-upon, talent-deprived cast is made up of Matt, his stand-up stooge Dean Wright, established performer Richard Precious and the familiar face of Helen Slater.
Shafted opens on December 1 and runs until December 8 at the Caxton Theatre, in Grimsby. Shows are nightly (except Sunday) at 7.30pm with the bar opening from 6.45pm.
The bar will remain open after the show, where there will be a chance to meet and greet the cast and crew.
Tickets range from £6 to £7.50 and are available by visiting the Caxton Theatre Ticket Office based within Grimsby Central Library, by telephoning 01472 346251 or by visiting www.caxtontheatre.com
