IF the Cleethorpes New Year's Day 10K has sparked a desire for you to get into running, there are numerous races on the horizon which could quench your thirst for a challenge.
Tuesday's event featured a record field of 451 finishers, and with the local road racing scene packed with a variety of distances, there has never been a better time to get involved. Most races are suitable for all and feature a full range of abilities.
Next Tuesday's Cleethorpes 5K starts at 6.45pm on the promenade close to the leisure centre. Register on the night at Cleethorpes Cricket Club, off Chichester Road, from 6pm.
The Ferriby ten-mile race which starts at Skidby, on the north bank, is a popular regional race. Anyone wishing to enter should do so soon as the limit is likely to be reached. The race takes place on Sunday, January 27.
