Emotions were running high as after much deliberation, the trio of judges named crowd favourites Rob Mellor and Daniel Lesley as joint winners.
Rob wowed the three judges with his soulful performance of the All 4 One classic I Swear while Daniel rocked out to This Is How You Remind Me by Nickleback.
Rob, a professional DJ, said: "I'm absolutely speechless to be put through.
"I've been singing for as long as I can remember and I absolutely love it. The crowd tonight was fantastic.
"I used to enter competitions when I was younger and haven't done anything like this for years. I never expected to get this far – I'm over the moon."
Daniel Lesley, was cheered on by family members and friends from Linkage College.
The young crooner, who has Autism, shed tears of joy as the judges revealed he had won.
Daniel, of Cleethorpes, said: "It was an amazing experience for me and I made sure I sang my heart out.
"It was a huge challenge for me tonight but I am very proud of myself. To sing in front of the crowd was amazing – I had lots of friends and family in the audience which really helped."
His proud brother Jordan, 18, said: "Singing is his passion – he does it all the time, even in his sleep."
Rob and Daniel will be joined in the next round of semi- finals by Joanne Gordon- Dawley, Zach Dee, Dave Hurrell and James Hutchinson.
Head judge, Tony Kirk, one half of the Cleethorpes double act Lewis and Kirk, said: "Tonight was the hardest decision I have had to make in three years of doing this. That shows with the fact that we put through two winners – in truth, there could have been four."
The next heat is at McCormacks in Kings Road, Cleethorpes, on Wednesday from 8pm.
