Heart facts
Approximately 2,000 people were fitted with heart monitors in 2009 at Grimsby's Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, pictured right.
Around 420 people were fitted with blood pressure monitors.
Approximately 3,200 people had ultra sound scans on their heart.
And about 1,500 people had exercise electro-cardiograms – (ECG tests which check for changes in your heart while you exercise).
The new lab will mean the same number and more will be carried out in the future.
