"I really enjoy working in a nice, clean environment. I never leave dishes, I have to clean everything up before I go home."
Ann will regularly cook for more than 30 children a day, creating meals for breakfast, lunch and tea.
She said: "We cook everything fresh. This means we can cater for any dietary or allergy requirements.
"I don't cook chips, just healthy meals, and the children eat everything, from curries to pasta bakes.
"I always like to try something new for the kids. I change the meals every season."
Nursery manager Angela Giles said Ann is a "domestic goddess".
"Some nurseries don't have the ability to serve hot food and the children have to take pack-up," she said.
"We have some children who are with us from 8am to 6pm. That is a long time to go without a hot meal.
"All the children can bring pack lunch but very few do which says a lot for Ann's cooking.
"This five-star award shows the high level of quality we provide for children."
