A ONE-STOP shop to deal with everything from crime to counselling has been set up on Grimsby's Nunsthorpe Estate.

Cabourne Road Community House will be a base for Shoreline officers, neighbourhood wardens, Police Community Support Officers – and also Humberside Police officers, who will be based at the house during weekends and evenings.

The centre was set up by the housing association and the North East Lincolnshire Council family intervention team in response to a rise in anti-social behaviour and crime.

Residents can keep up to date with the transformation of their neighbourhood, report crime and undertake a variety of courses.

“Grimsby previously had a "one-stop-shop" that was meant to help people tackle crime. It was called a "Police Station" and was situated on Victoria Street, but it has now fallen into disuse.
Perhaps a reader could suggest an alternative use for this "Iconic" building.
    A museum perhaps ?”

“They have now altered the wrongly written sentence so that it actually makes sense, well done but employ a proof reader.”

“Peter, that is exactly how it read to me too. Someone should learn how to use grammar and commas correctly if they are employed as a journalist.”

“Is this just another tea room for the local bobbies on the beat?”

“The report says there has been a rise in anti-social behaviour and crime by the housing association and the North East Lincolnshire Council family intervention team. In which case I think they should be given ABSOs and banned from Nunsthorpe rather than been given a house to use as a base for their crime spree.”
