A POPULAR Lincolnshire musician is embarking on a nationwide coffee shop tour – and is starting in Grimsby.

Singer/songwriter Abi Moore, who has lived in Market Rasen for nearly 20 years, will perform at 71 Caffè Nero shops throughout the UK after impressing customers.

Her album, Things We Should’ve Said, was voted as one of Caffè Nero’s favourite albums, which will now be played in all of the chain’s 360 stores.

The 25-year-old – a regular performer on the local music scene – said: “I’m a little delirious at present at the thought of all these gigs looming and I’m already on the Vitamin C in preparation.

"I have 71 shows  between now and October and can’t wait to get the Caffè Nero tour out on the road."

Abi has previously supported Midge Ure and Mark Flanagan, of the Jools Holland Big Band. In 2004, she played at the BBC 6 Music’s Summer Sundae Weekender alongside Super Furry Animals, Amy Winehouse, Nick Harper and James Morrisson.

More recently, she has opened for Jim Moray, the Coal Porters and Edwina Hayes and has been invited to support 10CC this summer at Milton Keynes.

Abi is performing at Caffè Nero, inside House Of Fraser in Freshney Place, on Sunday, August 2 at 11am.
