Landscape artists roll into town
The Nature Of Landscapes features the varied works by three renowned artists from across the UK.
Richard Kenton-Webb, David Ainley and Jerry Leigh all promote their visions of landscape and place using different styles and techniques.
Richard’s work focuses on colour, in this case red, whereas Jerry uses oils to create linear patterns and David uses the mining landscapes of Derbyshire and Northumberland to influence his work.
Curator Linda Ingham is pleased that the artists chose to display their work in Grimsby.
She said: “I have stumbled across all three of them over the past few years and I thought their work would go together well.
“Hopefully, it is just the start of a larger overall scheme to exhibit and teach the nature of landscape through seminars and other exhibitions and we hope to exhibit work by artists who use the studios here,
under the same title, next spring.”
The Nature Of Landscape runs until August 29 and entry is free.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm. For more information visit www.abbeywalkgallery.co.uk or call (01472) 241007.
