Antony has convinced legendary film director Ken Russell to join the production
Antony Lane, 30, has already raised £6,000 in just three weeks by selling DVDs of his comedy shocker before filming has started.
The rookie has even talked veteran director Ken Russell into the role of consultant on the flick, Invasion Of The Not Quite Dead.
Antony said: "I can't believe how much support I'm getting. I'm aiming to raise £100,000 to fund the movie and start in January.
"If I don't get the target amount, we can make certain budget cutbacks because I'm determined to get this made. But in the unlikely event that it doesn't get made, then all investors will get a full refund."
Making a zombie film has been a lifelong wish for the horror fan, who graduated from the International Film School Of Wales with a degree in film production.
He had talks with Mr Russell when he visited the college in Newport, and the director – whose credits include the 70s classic Tommy movie – agreed to come on board as a consultant and executive producer.
Antony, who will be producing the film through his Indywood company, has also persuaded an Emmy- winning composer Misha Segal to create a score for the film.
And he has had an endorsement from Hollywood actor Kevin Pollak – who appeared in The Usual Suspects and A Few Good Men.
Mr Russell, 81, said: "Antony deserves all the support he can get for using the Internet as a method of bringing together independent film-making talent."
Mr Pollak said: "I am excited to see independent filmmakers in the UK having this sort of awareness-raising foundation."
Antony is in talks with veteran US horror movie actors, including Tom Savini, of Dawn Of The Dead, David Hess, of The Last House On The Left, and Ezra Buzzington.
Depending on how much fans donate, they can also appear as an extra, attend the wrap party or, if a company donates, receive product placement in the movie.
